At Griggs, I hold the unique position of being the sole in-house architectural design and design manager for the company, being the main contractor. This has necessitated a rapid possession of the skills essential for effective role management.
The main objective is to be responsible for delivering to the project teams technically complete and coordinated, commercially astute and risk-managed construction information, to an agreed programme.

While in this role, I worked on the technical design drawing packages, producing work for residential developments. This included drawing detailed plans and elevations, including electrical and drainage layout, bathroom details and sections. While I enjoyed this role, I wanted to be more involved in the initial design phases from concept and use my creative skills more. This then led to working on projects from the feasibility stages to the full construction package.
